ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - Embroideries and Embellishments

General Overview:

To design, develop and re-develop embroidery and embellishment layouts using overseas factories and resources based on specific price points and design aesthetics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop embroidery and embellishment s techniques at the factory to use for sample development for wovens
• Based on direction from Head Designer, V.P., and Creative director issue complete tech packs and translate  embroidery and embellishment s techniques onto tracers to send out packages for sample requests to factories
• Track and maintain sample calendar and samples for protos and showroom and market presentations
• Coordinate with Production on re-development of adopted embroidered and embellished styles to achieve desired costing
• Re-develop and manipulate layouts and techniques overseas based on desired price points and necessary aesthetic of the line
• Maintain production calendar for re-developed layouts
• Communicate daily with agents and factories
• Research market trends and seasonal concepts
• Present embroidery and embellishment concepts and layouts seasonally to Head Designer, V.P., and Creative director

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have experience working and developing with overseas resources
• Must have experience and understanding of developing into specific price points and customer needs
• Must have experience, knowledge and desire to work on embroidery and embellishment layouts
• At least 2 years of experience working in development environment
• Must understand how to develop into a price point
• Must understand T&A calendar
• Asian languages a plus
