ASSOCIATE DESIGNER - Contemporary

 - 2 to 4 years of experience in developing a contemporary and/or mass market line

- Correspond with factories to ensure timely and proper execution of development request

- Communicate effectively with factories on new development, fabric sourcing, trim development, etc.

- Ability to manage multiple seasons as well as late add developments and chase styles

- Proficient knowledge of apparel construction, trims, fabrics and techniques

- Knowledge of woven/sweater construction as well as cut and sew knit construction

- Identify customer and assist in ensuring that product is consistent with market trends and private label requests

- Responsible for details on design of product from sketches to all aspects of tech packs

- Ability to shop the market and research trends

- Expert at Adobe Illustrator and Excel

- Able to multi task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative

- Ability to recognize and react to changing design and work demands at any given time

- Superior organizational skills and excellent communication and note taking skills; able to work independently on projects in a fast pace environment

- Responsible of tracking and shipping samples to vendors
