ASSOCIATE DESIGNER: Activewear

Fashion brand is seeking an associate activewear designer for women’s. This will be working on Walmart private label.

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator – must have excellent garment illustration skills
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Working understanding of Microsoft Suite, including Excel
• Experience communicating with overseas factories
• Experience communicating with client teams and sales staff
• Understanding of fabric construction- content, weight, and appropriate uses
• Experience with cut & sew & wovens active fabrics
• Experience attending fittings and recognizing fit issues
• Comfortable offering fit suggestions
• Comfortable translating instructions/ direction to assistant designer & interns
• Hardworking & willingness to learn are extremely important
• Good attitude/ interested even in the less glamorous tasks
• Excellent time management skills/ efficiency
• Cohesive portfolio that shows knowledge of industry
• Experience working with Walmart a plus but not a necessity
