Associate Art Director

About the Position
The Associate Art Director will be responsible for working on special projects and initiatives for Ann Taylor bringing the brand to life through brand programs and marketing. In addition, the Associate will direct creative designs for our Factory stores including brand programs, emails, printed DM, windows & in-store, and advertising. In collaboration with the marketing team, public relations team, and merchandising team, the Associate Art Director will ensure that the integrity of each of our brands is consistent across channels. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative and has experience managing and mentoring designers as well as working with cross functional business partners. Must have an unrelenting positive spirit and "can-do" attitude. This role reports to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities

Art Direction

•Ability to take ideas from concept to creative to final execution with ease

•Collaborate on big ideas and editorial stories to bring the brand to life

•Create compelling layouts through excellent use of typography, color and photography

•Ensures that marketing on all channels is brand-right

•Work closely with Visual Merchandising team to bring the Ann Taylor Factory stores to life

•Work closely with the Public Relations team to assist with executing PR eventsOperations

•Collaborate daily with Design Director and fellow Associate Art Directors

•Communication and workflow among Design, E-commerce, Merchandising and Marketing teams

•Management and mentorship of lower level designers

•Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards

•Budget consciousness

Requirements
•7 years experience in Design

•4 years experience within the fashion industry

•Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field

•Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

•Proven ability to manage projects, relationships and drive process

•Motivation, decisiveness, organizational skills are a must
