ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DESIGNER/ sweaters/knitwear (Midtown)

1+ YEAR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED IN TECHNICAL DESIGN

FULLTIME or FREELANCE position available

compensation: BASED ON EXPERIENCE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide detailed comments for each fit sample which may include pattern corrections
• Accurately communicate all changes to overseas vendors
• Approve all pre-production samples for bulk cutting/knitting
• Issue graded specs and production approval
• Complete/update and maintain accurate technical packages

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Design or Technical Design (or related)
• Minimum three/four years of technical design/construction/patternmaking
• Required knowledge, skills and ability to fit and interpret fit
• Some experience fitting sweaters & knitwear on a live model
