ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DESIGNER - Apparel and Fashion

Job Purpose: The Assistant Technical Designer will provide general support to the Technical Design team by performing routine fitting support tasks to help facilitate fitting sessions and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Processing orders and setting up production tech packs

• Prepare for fittings by gathering samples, pulling style folders, measuring samples, and organizing samples in the fit room in order of priority

• Sending daily fit schedules

• Prepping samples to be sent (taking photos on dress for or model, setting up spec sheet and photo sheet, filling out sample tags) Releasing Patterns and sew by
samples to factories (Setting up tech pack, emailing pattern & tech pack, prepping sew by sample)

• Perform clerical duties such as organizing samples and filing style folders


Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in fashion preferred

• Experience in the fashion industry with knowledge of various fashion terminologies is a plus

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced fashion environment

• Must have a great sense of urgency

• Must work well under pressure

• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Windows operating systems, creating & organizing files) Strong excel skill is preferred

• Must be highly detail-oriented

• Must be punctual

• Must be excited about learning and interested in a career in the fashion industry
