ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER Needed for COACH
Primary Purpose: will act as a key member of the Global Merchandising Outlet team, supporting the continued growth of Coach's global business. The position will report to the Senior COACH leadership with a focus on Outlet Leather Goods.

- Running Weekly Sales Analysis and Report to the Team
- Generate all weekly, monthly, quarterly sales reports.
- Own style set up process-input style, color, costing and attribute information into the line planning systems
- Participate in the line planning and development process with a strong understanding of the global market and business unit specific needs/nuances.
- Manage samples- maintain lending log and coordinate sample set up for meetings
- Act as liaison to all facets of the business including Product Development, Design, Global Planning, Visual Merchandising and Creative Services to ensure deliverables and product lifecycle calendar deadlines are met
- Partner with Merchandise Planning for additional analysis and reporting where needed
- Support team in preparation for executive monthly business review
Owning Edits, Presentation and Market Prep
- Own all aspects of Leather Goods edit/presentation prep including samples, reporting, line sheet creation, and system set up
- Compile all relevant Leather Goods information for given time period to ensure alignment to larger corporate strategies. Create decks and boards to be used by Coach
- Communicate all post presentation assortment updates and ensure systems are updated accordingly
Market Research
- Shop the market to stay abreast of trends. Compile competitive shopping analysis and present relevant conclusions. Incorporate findings to impact future product line development
- Use reports to analyze business trends/identify future opportunities and share findings with the team on a regular basis
Organization and Team
- Establish and manage relationships with key business unit partners
- Create partnerships with internal cross-functional business units including merchandising peers, design teams, product development, visual merchandising, global merchandise planning, marketing, and creative groups.

An outstanding professional will have...
- BA or BS degree with 3-4 years prior experience in merchandising or buying required
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and cross-functional business partners’ operations
- Experience with Merchandising or Buying Luxury Goods/Accessories a plus
- Strong analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of "retail math"
- Proficient on excel and general computer knowledge
- Excellent product sensibility and conceptual ability
