Assistant Inventory Analyst

ASSISTANT INVENTORY ANALYST POSITION SUMMARY:

Assistant Inventory Analyst will be making key decisions regarding inventory.  They will be managing orders vs inventory to ensure order fulfillment and meeting of financial estimates. They will also be pre-allocating to ensure a steady flow of pick tickets to the distribution centers.  Additional responsibilities include analyzing stock spreading, oversold problems as well as tracking intake of merchandise required to fulfill customer orders and daily reporting against monthly financial estimates including detailed evaluation and explanation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Assist Senior Inventory Analyst forecasting wholesale inventory to maintain adequate supply and on-order amounts based on established company goals and budgeting
  • Maintain inventory levels necessary to meet projected sales demands
  • Manage priorities for multiple brands/divisions to insure financial estimates are achieved.
  • Organize and prepare various daily, weekly and monthly reporting including: open orders, planning grids, and account specific selling reports
  • Process weekly Stock Orders and Customer Purchase Orders for production reporting to VP of Planning and CFO for gross margin approval
  • Evaluate order file for backorder and oversolds – partner with sales team to update order file.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience: 3 years in Customer Service or Allocations preferred        

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree

Skills: Strongly Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to multi-task, identify, and shift priorities quickly
  • Ability to analyze information/data and how it relates to monthly financial goals and customer requirements and develop solutions to issues
  • Strong excel skill
  • Heavy data entry skills
  • Strong follow up skills
  • Strong speaking, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Must be able to work independently and make crucial decisions.
  • Must also be adept with computer software, especially databases and spreadsheets.
