ASSISTANT DESIGNER - Multiple Divisions (men's, ladies and kids)

The Assistant Designer will support the Head Designer from initial concept through product delivery. They will be working closely with the production & sales teams to execute tech packs, CAD’s, prints, and graphics for the season. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Support Head Designer in generating tech packs, print/pattern development and color up; graphic development ensuring that the brand aesthetic is executed
• Create and collaborate with design team each season to bring new seasonal direction
• Help to research and interpret trends into commercial product for print, pattern, graphics
• Updating CADs & line sheets throughout all stages in design development
• Work and communicate daily with cross functional teams from development to final product
• Ability to meet overlapping deadlines
• Assist design team with organization of samples
• Take initiative, embrace change, adapt to learning new concepts and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 

Experience:

• Experience working in the fashion industry
• Experience with Men's, Ladies and or Kids Outerwear preferred but not required
• Knowledge Photoshop and Illustrator Experience
• Knowledge of Tech Packs
• Working knowledge of Excel

Education: BA/BFA in Design a plus, however a combination of college education & related work experience may be used as a substitute.

Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of PLM
• Strong CAD skills
• Ability to develop graphics and prints/cad recolors
