Assistant Designer - Handbags

  Responsibilities:
  • Assist team in preparing for development of handbag collection
  • Archive and document seasonal trend research
  • Assist design manager in creating and updating assigned specs, building technical skills
  • Partner with manager to develop computer & hand sketching skills to execute thumbnails and full scale product elements, including handbag, SLG, and hardware views
  • Learn how to build group concepts
  • Partner and communicate with cross functional teams as needed
  • Organize and maintain seasonal materials for team: seasonal decks, factory specs, color palettes, etc
  • Archive samples and references; track inspiration samples
  • Maintain organization of design workspace
  • Assist preparing/creating presentation boards for milestone meetings
  • Executing CADS and mock-ups as needed
  Qualifications:

 

  • Detail oriented
  • Strong technical drawing abilities; hand sketching abilities & illustrator proficiency
  • Strong sense of color and graphics
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Highly creative with refined taste level
  • Knowledge of construction a plus
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or AAS in fashion design or related field
