Assistant Designer, Dress Shirts - PVH Corp.
Primary Purpose: The Assistant Designer, Dress Shirts will be responsible for supporting the Dress Shirt Design team from initial concept/color through product delivery to accounts. This includes supporting the team in the creation of pattern/print/color development, model set up, as well as coordinating correct info to Data Entry Associate for line list and style package set up.
Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal color palettes and pull inspirational imagery, design details, innovative fabric applications & modeling details
- Build out seasonal design packages which include color, pattern, program & finish details
- Communicate model set-up to product development team and provide garment sketches as needed by production & tech design
- Manage approvals of handloom/strike-offs/bulk submits and communicate comments to offshore raw materials team and fabric mills
- Create clean and professional boards of seasonal dress shirt programs/create additional boards as requested by sales
- Be able to navigate various development systems to access style information as needed
- Assist in seasonal line opening presentation of brands
- Make updates to line post-market, which includes putting additional patterns/styles into development under tight calendar deadlines
- Help create seasonal neckwear directives to be sent to neckwear mills prior to development season
- Select patterns provided by mills/in house CAD team and pitch in seasonal color palette per brand
- Build out seasonal line and create boards showcasing patterns/swatches for style-out presentation
- Finalize patterns per account buy & coordinate sample request with merchandising team
Qualifications
Experience: 1 to 2 year’s related experience required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

- Creative and driven, reliable, organized, thorough, able to prioritize, good at handling high stress situations, and able to work with different types of people/personalities
