ASSISTANT DESIGNER – BRANDED LADIES OUTERWEAR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to Sr. Designer:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Build Design PDM style packages after review with Senior Designer. Translation of all details in order for the overseas factory to execute style designs 

• Must be able to measure and check sample details upon arrival to see that protos were made correctly.

• Must be able to draw detailed flat sketches, including interior of jackets and coats.

• Assist in managing all design, sample, material needs with Sr. Designer and Merchandiser.

• Communicating with overseas offices and vendors in regards to the creation and tracking of product.

• Creating CADs and presentation boards when necessary with direction from Senior Designer.

• Keeping log of all incoming showroom and customer photography samples 

• Must help organize and maintain sub-materials library.

Requirements

• Must be able to effectively manage time and multi-task. Strong attention to detail & organized

• Must have a college degree in fashion/ the arts

• Must be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop & WebPDM
