Assistant Designer--Bebe Sport

ASSISTANT DESIGNER (Activewear + Athleisure)

• Entry Level Job (with prior internship experience)

Qualifications:

• Associates/Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design or Related Field
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Garment Construction and Pattern-making Knowledge
• Familiarity with technical design process & initiating tech packs
• Up to date on trends in the market and brand appropriate aesthetic
• Must have good time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Looking for a team player with great energy and flexibility

Key Accountabilities:

• Assists and reports to Senior Designer
• Assists in product development of seasonal line plan
• Assists in creating technical packs, which include detailed sketches, fabric and garment construction, and artwork layout/graphic placement
• Contributes to the creation of the design lines according to predetermined style plans and emerging trends
• Communicate regularly to factories and Production team
• Maintain and organize production logs, samples, fabrics and trims
• Create CAD predetermined sketches of styles in development
• Meet all deadlines for special projects assigned (Photoshoots, Trend Research, Mood boards, etc.)
• Manage approvals of Bebe Sport product with licensor.
• Support Senior Designer in brand vision in accordance to Bebe HQ trend in addition to Active market trend.
• Experience in active wear or print design a plus!
