Assistant Designer Activewear

We are a NYC based luxury women's golf athletic wear brand. Having launched in 2016, we are looking for a Fashion Design Assistant who is interested in gaining exposure to all facets of a startup fashion company from design to production. We are looking for an assistant to our design team who is interested in working part to full-time. 

Our ideal candidate is currently in school for Fashion Design or has a Associates/Bachelor's degree in Design or related field. Candidate must have strong knowledge of garment construction and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, Word and Photoshop is required. Must have have a creative sensibility, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, have a good attitude and an open mind! Familiarity with NYC garment district is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate would have a passion for contributing to an entrepreneurial and creative environment.

We are looking for a team player who will help research/identify trends, applicable details, styles, themes, mood boards, create flat sketches and tech packs to build the collection. Other responsibilities include: concept boards, provide production assistance when needed, act as a liaison to local factories alongside the product development team, attend and participate in fit sessions, take detailed notes, photograph and catalogue all incoming samples.   

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: College student in last year of Bachelor's program or Fashion Design graduate.    If possible, we would love to see samples of your work or your personal website.    Kindly send your resume and samples of work (if you have them) for consideration.
