Assistant CAD Artist / Print Designer - Missy Sportswear

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assistant CAD/Print Designer– Print & Graphics support the design process for all Print & Graphics for Missy Sportswear

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Reporting to CAD/Print Designer
• Responsible for supporting the graphic team in designing all over prints
• Assist with concept boards to communicate design and seasonal directions to the team
• Importing purchased files, cleaning and placing into production repeats
• Re-colouring prints and pitching colorways to Print Designer and Director
• Prepare artwork sheets with all relevant information needed for production
• Working closely with the design team, helping with specific artwork requests
• Taking a proactive role in keeping the design and pantone library updated
• Researches concepts, materials and color trends.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   

2 - 4 years experience in design is required. Please do not apply for this postion without 2-4 years experience

Skills:           

• Refined taste level.
• Knowledgeable Proficient in current pattern trends and ability to keep up-to-date with new emerging trends
• Knowledge of all fabrics for printing
• Strong Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills.
• PLM, AVA experience is a PLUS but not required
• Strong communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish good relationships with key parties and department staff.
• Positive solution oriented.
