Job Description Summary

This entry level position is responsible for the design process with
a focus on Cut and Sew, including conceptual direction, trends,
fabrications, styling, trims, technical renderings/spec sheets while
adhering to design/development calendar. This position will be
responsible for designing and developing styles for specific
classifications and genders from initial concepts through pre-
production to achieve accurate delivery while establishing superior
fits and construction.

Art Director: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

Responsible for driving and executing the creative visual
direction for one or more specific product segments, including
management, design, and production for advertising, catalogs, sales
collateral, packaging, POP and promo materials. He/She must have the
ability to manage multiple tasks, provide creative guidance for
production artists, and collaborate with Interactive and Video teams
to inspire and communicate visual strategy.

How You Will Move the Needle:

1. Manages the creative and visual direction, design, and
production for advertising and collateral for one or more
specific product segments, including research that aids in
developing fresh creative ideas for advertising and
promotional executions, learning new software and artistic
techniques as the need arises, etc.

2. Develops and designs new marketing stories for their
designated product segment(s)

3. Designs product catalogs, sales collateral, packaging, POP
and promo materials for specific product segment(s)

4. Collaborate with Interactive and Video teams to communicate
visual strategy

5. Works directly with product segment team (manager of graphic
design, marketing, footwear and apparel) in managing creative
workflow needs and development for specific product
segment(s)

6. Supplies Global Marketing team with completed creative assets

7. Fulfills requests for art/photography from requesting parties

8. Complies with Art department approval process before
submitting print ads, sales collateral, packaging, and POP to
print Skills for Success: Years of Related Professional

Experience: 3-5 years Educational/ Position Requirements: - A
Bachelor’s degree in Art or related field and a minimum of 3 years
experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of
experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills
and abilities.
