Overview
The Global SEO Specialist will be part of the digital marketing team and support Anthropologie’s search engine optimization efforts globally including management of our 3rd party agency, creation of roadmap strategy and implementation, local listings management, mobile and app efforts, and ongoing site optimization for full coverage of all products and industry trends. The Global SEO Specialist reports to the Associate Manager, Digital Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Manage SEO agency with the goal of maximizing revenue, driving qualified visitors through non-brand traffic, and testing CRO strategies, while keeping customer acquisition in mind.
- Act as an internal agency to support Anthropologie Europe for all SEO needs.
- Partner with retail team to manage local store listings.
- Develop annual channel roadmaps for US and Europe sites to outline strategic SEO initiatives. In addition to overseeing implementation, responsible for hindsighting results with meaningful recaps that drive future website strategy and decision making.
- Regularly perform site and ranking analyses, architecture audits, and competitive research to diagnose problems and discover new opportunities to continue natural search growth.
- Work with in-house development team to optimize various elements of the website inclusive of product and category pages, navigation, page speed, site errors, crawlability, structured data mark-up, and internal link structure.
- Support international expansion through management of language, regional URLs and hreflang.
- Partner cross-brand on strategy for new SEO technical projects to determine business case and priority and present to IT leadership.
- Identify new content beneficial to SEO and partner with UX and creative teams to have landing pages and content created and/or optimized to support SEO growth.
- Produce all SEO content for the website including meta information and content blocks.
- Communicate regularly with merchandising & copy to manage site taxonomy.
- Support new business lines, product trends and brand marketing campaigns to ensure full natural search coverage and optimal launch timing.
- Participate in ongoing search meetings with cross-functional partners to present search trend data in support of Home and Women's businesses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of SEO experience, preferably with a retail-based e-commerce company or agency
- SEO content writing skills preferred
- Experience using Coremetrics, Google Analytics or Omniture is strongly preferred
- Proactive work ethic, strong people skills, positive attitude and professional conduct
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
