Anthropologie Department Manager (Operations) - Carlsbad, California

An Operations Department Manager manages all back-of-house processes and facilitates the flow of goods from receipt to product placement. Is responsible for maintaining a neat and organized stockroom conducive to easy location of product. Depending on store volume, they may oversee one or more Stock Associates.

REPORTS TO: Store Manager and Visual Manager

SALES & PROFITABILITY

Partners with the leadership team to exceed sales and shrink goals
Oversees stock-to-sales processes and support store priorities to impact results

OPERATING PROCEDURES

Manages stock-to-sales processes including; receiving of shipment, flash processing, security tagging, and preparing product for floor placement
Adheres to the stock “typical day” to ensure deliveries are processed and placed within 24 hours
Plans for, tracks and communicates all in transit shipment information to the visual and leadership team
Maintains an efficient and well-organized stockroom ensuring accessibility to employees
Facilitates the restock process using the App to continually maintain store stock levels
Demonstrates loss prevention awareness through assisting in cycle counts, markdowns, and transfers
Oversees all UPS deliveries and transfers
Leads the An Order Away ensuring orders are appropriately packaged and shipped Maintains all receiving paperwork controls
Assists Store manager with supply ordering
Assists in the maintenance of the building facilities
Ensures all tagging of product follows company guidelines Upholds all company Policy and Procedures

Follows up to ensure that direct reports adhere to the same standard for their team (if applicable).
Ensures that coaching and counseling is consistent and timely

CUSTOMER CONNECTION

Leads back of house processes to better service the customer
Has an understanding of how zones operate and can provide support as needed in floor zones or as the MOD

AESTHETIC UNDERSTANDING & APPLICATION

Leads stock-to-sales processes and supports presentation standards
Collaborates with SM and VM to assess stock to sales ratio
Is knowledgeable of trend and supports brand messaging
Has an understanding of how the merchant process impacts business and the customer experience
