Contact Strategy Manager

 

Overview

The Contact Strategy Manager will manage the long term strategies and projects related to Anthropologie’s email and app marketing channels. This individual will be responsible for the high level strategy, implementation, execution, and reporting of all email and app marketing campaigns. This includes setting the channel strategy, overseeing the monthly email calendar, analyzing results, strategizing and executing next generation campaigns (Triggers, dynamic imagery, etc.), creating standard processes for email testing and reporting, being the brand’s primary contact with ESP, and managing a team of two.

 

The Contact Strategy Manager will work with a variety of teams including Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, Database Marketing, Merchandising, IT and Creative to ensure that Anthropologie’s emails are executed flawlessly and efficiently.  The manager will also oversee an email coordinator who manages the day-to-day operations of Anthropologie’s email marketing programs.  This role will also keep the company current on best practices in regard to data capture, segmentation, analysis, and emerging trends. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including planning, targeting & segmentation, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization.
  • Support campaign execution and analysis from the Email Coordinator and Email Marketing Analyst.
  • Set the monthly strategy for creative and merchant teams to ensure a balanced email program that supports all lines of Anthropologie business, 
  • Improve segmentation of the email program through database analysis and strategic planning.
  • Create email reporting dashboards and custom reports analyzing campaign performance to provide actionable recommendations and deliver continuous improvements to the email program.
  • Champion continuous advancement of our email features and capabilities including targeting, personalization, and template development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders: development teams, designers, business teams and more.
  • Identify and implement strategic email initiatives to acquire and re-engage profitable new and existing customers, including, but not limited to list onboarding programs, triggered messages, and preference centers.
  • Manage relationship and serve as primary point of contact for email marketing vendor.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have prior experience with Cheetahmail, Responsys, ExactTarget, or similar ESP
  • Previous experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills
  • Previous experience with a CRM database or campaign management system preferred
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Experience with Coremetrics, Omniture, or Google Analytics is strongly preferred
  • Interest in web analytics, customer lifecycles, and triggered marketing campaigns
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects
  • An understanding of the Anthropologie.com customer and brand identity

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
