Reporting Relationship:

This position will report to Divisional Vice President, Financial, Planning and Analysis.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Build & Execute key reports for Saks US & CAN (admin; digital).

    

2. Improve efficiency of current processes & files.

    

3. Perform Month End Close processes (submit JEs; reconcile expenses).

    

4. Manage relationships with business partners to eliminate and reduce costs where possible.

    

5. Expense Analysis (review allocation of expenses, research variances and ad hoc analysis as needed).

    

6. Support work for consolidation of Saks financials during month end close/forecast/semiannual planning.

    

7. Build detail level budgets for semiannual planning process.

    

8. Responsible for monitoring expenses during the month to alert business partners/finance team on any unusual variances.

    

9. Work closely with store operations COE finance team to oversee Saks store P&L.

    

10. Keep abreast of Hyperion system updates and changes and train team members as needed.

     

Qualifications

Professional Qualifications:

●      Microsoft Excel expert; Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and/or SmartView experience preferred. Ability to build macros preferred.

●      Must be self-motivated and operate with a strong sense of urgency.

●      Must possess analytical; ability to solve complex problems required.

●      Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.

●      Organized; must possess excellent follow up skills.

●      Must be flexible with work schedule at times in order to meet demands of the business.

●      Retail experience is a plus.

Educational Credentials:

Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters a plus
