Major Responsibilities

 

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis supports and contributes to the timely delivery of accurate financial results and analysis.  This individual will support various corporate functional teams by providing regular as well as ad hoc performance reporting and financial analysis.

 

 

Role responsibilities include:

 

  1. Provide regular management reports and forecast updates on expenses, working with the business teams to understand variances and build action plans.
  2. Support the month end close process to ensure accurate financial statements.
  3. Support business partners with detailed financial analysis
  4. Support the planning process and ongoing profit improvement initiatives
  5. Account reconciliations, processing of invoices, processing of expenses in correct areas.
  6. Supports operations team with variance analysis on store expenses
  7. Processes various expense adjustments, as required
  8. Prepares various management reports
  9. Supports special/ad hoc projects as assigned.

  3. Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
  4. Team & customer-focused
  5. Good communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management and across numerous departments
  6. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
  7. Must be able to manage multiple tasks at any given time
  8. Working towards an Accounting designation (e.g. CGA or CMA)
