Analyst - Finance

The selected individual will be responsible for Import Purchase Order processing and Balance Sheet management/analysis for Saks Fifth Avenue and the Accounts Payable/International Finance team.   

Responsibilities:

• Manage all related Import Balance Sheet Accounts, including, but not limited to, Journal Entry preparation and month-end Account Reconciliations

• Research complex accounting transactions while providing analysis and direction to support Corporate/Departmental activities and initiatives

• Provide detailed, in-depth Estimated Landed Cost/Actual Landed Cost (ELC/ALC) Variance Analysis and Forecasting

• Establish and maintain strong Vendor relationships, while acting as a liaison between Vendors and the Buying teams 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

• Minimum 2-4 years of finance or accounting experience

• Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills are necessary

• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles

• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment where attention to detail is imperative

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of ELC/ALC and GLC processes and analysis is a plus

• Previous Hyperion Essbase and Oracle GL experience is a plus
