ALLOCATOR, US

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Allocator, to join our Retail team in our NYHO.

The purpose of this role is to maximize product performance and sell through by managing the store allocation and consolidation process. Also, provide support to the US store network, Buying and Planning team, and New York Head Office Team as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Allocations & Inventory Management

  • Responsible for accurate and on-time pre-season store allocations, ensuring demand is satisfied, adhering to the seasonal Planning strategy based on store budgets, layout and VM considerations, with an end goal to maximize sales and minimize risk.
  • Use analysis and commercial knowledge to ensure each store receives the right product, quantity, and size ratio to maximize sales.
  • Developing strong knowledge of product trends, stores, and geographic attributes across multiple states and territories.
  • Executes pre-season Allocations, in-season twice weekly replenishment, inter- store consolidations, recuts, rest & removals, and EOS recalls as directed by the Planner supporting the overall strategic business goals.
  • Analyzes sales on a weekly basis, by store, to make replenishment recommendations and action any inter-store consolidations to maximize sales and minimize markdown and ensuring these consolidations are followed up.

Inventory Management

  • Working with Logistics, 3PL, and Buying and Planning Team to ensure timely store deliveries.
  • Assisting in weekly forecasting of 3PL inventory flow with the Online and Wholesale teams.
  • Executing Full price and Markdown stock transfer strategies as confirmed by the Planner in collaboration with VM and Retail Operations.
  • Assist with the building of new store stock packages and action any consolidations from stores as necessary.
  • Co-ordinate QC checks and stock recalls as required.

Reporting

  • Running Sell through reports, Best seller reports and Store’s KPI performance reports.
  • Analyzing sales and stock by store for rest and removal recommendations prior to story launches with VM team.
  • Develop strong understanding of US store sales trends and performance through data analysis and regular communication with store managers and regional managers.
  • Store profiling through Pen Portraits and analysis.
  • Capturing Size Analysis data by SKU and by region to help inform forward size curves, driving full price sales and ST%.

Administration

  • Ensuring that the information entered is accurate and timely.
  • Representing the Planning team by being the primary contact for US store queries.
  • Participates in US store visits.
  • Ensure packing lists are generated in accordance with Production deadlines.
  • Provide support to the Buying & Planning team as required.
  • Adhoc store analysis and providing retail store support.

  • Participating in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
  • in stock allocations and/or replenishment within a Retail environment is advantageous, but not a requirement.
  • an analytical mind, flair for numbers and knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask.
  • to think laterally and have a proactive approach.
  • to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of an International team.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Achievement of FY sales and margins.
  • Achievement of correct stock levels according to stock count for each store.
  • Achievement of correct size breaks according to each store’s clientele demographic.
  • Allocations are done 2 weeks prior to the stock arriving in the Dispatch warehouse.
  • Consolidations are done weekly in accordance to store needs.
  • Recuts are reviewed weekly and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Constant analytical ability shown through all reporting and analysis.
  • Weekly reports are done and analyzed in a timely manner.
