rag & bone is currently seeking an Allocator, responsible for the effective flow of finished goods inventory to achieve full sales potential at healthy profits with high turn-over throughout the season. Success for this role includes managing to strong financials (sales, margin, inventory), understanding business on a global scale but willing to work through the smallest details by taking initiative, being curious and collaborating freely.
Responsibilities:
Allocation (warehouse and initial) and Replenishment
• Analyze inventory trends to maximize item/store performance
• Build pre-season allocation plans and distribute the initial quantity of each delivery
• Recommend store specific inventory levels and executing the replenishment strategy that supports all stores being in-stock in core and fashion styles
• Monitor merchandise availability and communicating issues proactively to the team
• Recommend re-order quantities by SKU for replenishment items based on individual store performance
• Manage inventory ownership in bulks
• Update model stocks for core styles quarterly
• Work collaboratively with the buying team to align on strategy and product assortment
• Support cross functional team with weekly and adhoc reporting including sales recaps, forecasts and inventory positioning
Business Reporting
• Analyze historical sales performance to identify drivers of trends that diverge from expectation
• Understand impact of promotional strategies and pricing on sales and margin forecasts
Transfers/RTV/Markdowns
• Analyze selling and inventory by store-style-size for selected deliveries to stock balance within the network, between DTC channels (full price stores and outlet), between business units (retail, ecommerce, and wholesale)
• Review MD strategies to insure in line with margin targets
Technology/Systems Integration and Data Validation
• Evolve planning and allocation discipline with new or upgraded tools by participating in requirements gathering, user-testing and peer training on mechanics as well as best practices
• Continuously explore more efficient ways of working with systems
Qualifications:
• Strong attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Interested in an analytical track in corporate retail
• Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills with ability to influence, present and defend a business argument both one-on- one and in a group setting
• Previous experience in corporate retail environment in quantitative preferred
