ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - Home Furnishings

International bedding and home furnishings company is looking for a strong Sales Executive with experience in servicing retailers. Position Summary:

The account executives main function is to promote sales of Idea  Nuova’s  products to assigned accounts in specified channel and territory.

Maintains customer relationships by consulting with accounts on:

* Merchandising and Product opportunities.

* Promotions

* Trends

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

1. Identifies and validates new sales opportunities with current and new customers to meet assigned sales goals.  Familiarity & knowledge of accounts mandatory.

2. Determine customer needs by analyzing demographics, past purchases, SKU performance, trends, opportunities and client’s business goals.

3.  Work with PD, design, and merchandising in an organized business manner.

4. Provide inventory opportunities to drive sales.

5. Consult with customer on merchandising, promotions and marketplace trends.

6. Conduct regular business reviews with clients.

7. Handle customer requests with the assistance of the customer service department. Escalate larger service issues to sales management, so may proactively address concerns.

8. Handle order entry and help resolve credit issues as necessary.

9. Provide timely and consistent sales reports as requested.

10. Work with Production on all orders to ensure accuracy, on time shipments, and proper order placement.

Experience, Competencies, and Education: Minimum of three years of outside sales experience with retail stores with a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals. Experience with Home Décor and designated accounts a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business or related field or equivalent experience. Excellent presentation and written communication skills. Strong time management, problem solving and organization skills. A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of marketplace trends, retailer needs and possible application to new business development. Ability to gain business through industry trade show involvement. Proficient computer skills in internet, e-mail, Excel spreadsheets, MS Office programs, presentations and order entry. Ability to work from an office in their home and reliable transportation.
