Account Executive for Bags and Small Leather Goods Company

Located Near Cerritos/Cypress/Garden Grove

Salary Depending on Experience $60,000-$70,000

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Account Executive to join our team, managing department stores as well as other accounts. This person should possess outstanding sales experience, sharp customer service skills and a passion for the fashion industry and accessories, particularly in leather goods such as handbags, wallets, belts, etc.   Special growth opportunity for an experienced specialty sales representative ready to grow in to higher volume account base.

We value sales professionals who are passionate about growing existing accounts while proactively pursuing new accounts and identifying roadblocks and obstacles to increasing business. The ideal fit will be innovative enough to suggest tailored solutions to common account problems. Dedication to growing the business and facilitating smoother connections between our clients and our internal executives is a must. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Understanding and analysis of selling reports- sell thru’s etc.
  • Review sales plans, managing open to buy for major accounts.
  • Grow existing business and generating new sales
  • Ability to think creatively to solve business challenges; analyzing customer needs.
  • Maintain excellent relationship skills with accounts.
  • Participate in sales team group obligations.
  • Travel to NY for market appointments and/or tradeshows.  Additional travel as necessary to meet and follow up with accounts.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends and best practices
  • Demonstrable business acumen and a deep understanding of business sales processes
  • Strong math skills and acumen for learning additional retail math.
  • Excellent negotiating skills- ability to listen and respond both verbally and written in order to achieve desired results.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years branded sales, with some experience in chain specialties or department stores.
  • Current buyer relationships.
  • Strong communication skills- written and oral.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient in programs including PowerPoint, MS Office and Excel.
