APPAREL GRAPHIC ARTIST

 The Graphic Designer will work  with Design teams to create & develop seasonal graphic artwork while supporting the overall brand’s objective.

This role will mainly focuses on Childrens (Girls) placment graphic artwork

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field
• 5 years of experience in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus)
• Expert in the Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational, communication & presentation skills with attention to detail
• Good understanding of a wide array & innovative apparel graphic printing techniques including: placement graphics, AOPs, appliques, embroidery, logo variations, & possibly packaging, labels, trims, & hangtags
• Have experience creating art, making sure it is factory-ready, pitching techniques, sizing graphics, creating tech packs  & indicating placement
• Good understanding of garment construction & cut & sew knit fabrics
• Good knowledge of brand appropriate aesthetics
• Illustration skills a plus
• Screen-printing experience a plus
• Works well in a fast-pasted work environment & can turn around projects quickly.
• Must show portfolio upon application

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create print designs for childrens apparel items
• Develop, execute & follow-up on concepts for art including all changes & processes required
• Prepare graphics for internal presentations
• Give constructive & understandable comments to our Sales/QA/QC team as it relates to all strike-off & art approvals
• Special projects as assigned
