Associate Designer - Body Wear, Intimate Apparel, Swimwear

SaraMax Apparel Group is the lead supplier of Ladies, Men's and Kids underwear , bra's & sleepwear for retail. We are seeking a motivated Assistant Production/Design Manager with a background in body wear, intimate apparel or swimwear to join our amazing team and work closely with our Senior Designer in all aspects of product development.

Must have excellent follow up skills and be very organized.

Candidate will be working closely with a great team consisting of design, sales, production, technical & graphic designers.

QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITES:

• Excellent verbal, written and follow-up skills to facilitate smooth communication internally and with overseas factories.
• Prepare tech packs with attention to details for overseas sample development and production.
• Excellent Mac skills Adobe illustrator for light CAD work and sketching silhouettes.
• Conduct frequent research in the market place for new & current trends through web, runway and in store venues.
• 2 years of related experience needed (underwear, sleepwear, active wear, knitwear, etc.)
• Excellent color sense and understanding of prints for preparing artwork for factories and color approvals
• Experience working within seasonal design development calendars & different retail customers.
• Team player with great interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to multi-task and shift direction with short notice
• Working knowledge of garment construction and textiles
• Must be self-motivated, team oriented, have a collaborative approach to creative development.
• Time management and organization skills with attention to detail.
