WEEKEND WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Under the direction of  the Warehouse Operations Manager , Warehouse Manager  is directly responsible for supervising the production floor of  the Seneca, South Carolina  Distribution Center.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees proper and efficient work methods within the warehouse and uses Information Systems the proper way.
  • Runs daily reports to track status and progress of all customer orders.
  • Be aware of all OSHA, Safety, and Security directives and ensure the warehouse follows them.
  • Collaborates with the Inventory control group to make sure inventories are maintained accurately.
  • Monitors all warehouse procedures are done as required by internal and external auditors’ directives.
  • Develops and implements procedure improvements to streamline processes and lower costs.
  • Responsible for all warehouse operations in the absence of the Operations Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises, trains, motivates and evaluates direct reports responsible for the receiving, order processing, returns processing, and shipping areas in the warehouse. Manages employees’ performance and ensures that they are cross trained for different functions.

  • Knowledge of PkMS warehouse management system, Essentus, and other Office programs
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and inventory management control procedures.
  • Ability to effectively work under heavy stress and time constraints.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the normal demands of any job, such as sitting, standing, reaching with arms and hands, walking, talking and hearing. Activities of this job require working long hours often, and may involve nights and weekends during times of heavy demand.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Warehouse environment, which can be quite noisy, and warm with no air conditioning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 to 5 years managing in a manufacturing / warehousing environment.
