Fashion Designer / PreProduction Associate

1. Fashion Designer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Work with design team to create tech packs, ensuring designs accurately translate into development samples
Design products by working closely with executive member on product development, including styles, colors and prints
Research trends and bring in new ideas
Research and interpret fashion and color forecasting of womens trends
Research fabrics for sampling and developments
Develop samples and tech packs
Forecast future womens fashion trends
Other design projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: Degree in Fashion Design
Experience Required: 3+ years experience in garment/production industry; prefer to KNIT driven
Required Knowledge: Bilingual English/Korean, Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
Ability to design for a variety of categories, strength in tops is a plus
In-depth knowledge of technical fit and garment construction
Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

2. Apparel Sourcing & PreProduction Associate

Key Responsibilities:

Daily communication and follow up with buyers.
Monitor production progress and shipping status with factories.
Maintain and track against project schedules and deliverables.
Control sample schedule and costing.
Work with Production Department to monitor production progress
Networking in the sourcing community.
Work with current factories and representatives of sourcing to improve factory efficiency and lower costs.
Coordinates the implementation of production and new developed orders.
Participate in cross-functional and multi-divisional team efforts, as assigned and fully represent the MIAS business and functional strategies to all groups or departments.
Create various reports in excel
