ASSOCIATE RETAIL PLANNER

Rag & bone is currently seeking an associate retail planner,
responsible for the effective flow of finished goods inventory
to achieve full sales potential at healthy profits with high
turn-over throughout the season. Success for this role includes
managing to strong financials (sales, margin, inventory),
understanding business on a global scale but willing to work
through the smallest details by taking initiative, being curious
and collaborating freely.


Responsibilities:

Sales Forecasting, Receipt Management and Financial Planning

• Create monthly plans and reforecast at division/department
level for sales, margin and inventory components, managing to
healthy turns and ending inventory targets

• Manage open-to-buy receipts for buying team’s pre-season
planning

• Track inbound-to-warehouse receipts for timely allocation to
stores and ecommerce site

Allocation (warehouse and initial) and Replenishment

• Execute allocation (strategic, systemic) through channel
distribution, warehouse splits, and by-store delivery,
ensuring sales/receipt targets are met

• Develop analytics to decide what/when/how much to replenish
(either from warehouse or within store network) for optimum
use of space and people resources

Continuous Program Management

• Manage key item planners that track demand and supply of
continuous programs

• Review model stock to ensure store demand is met within
capacity constraints and delivery schedules

• Partner intra-squad and with Merch Planning on inventory re-
orders/shares/trades

Business Reporting

• Analyze historical sales performance to identify drivers of
trends that diverge from expectation

• Understand impact of promotional strategies and pricing on
sales and margin forecasts

Transfers/RTV/Markdowns

• Analyze selling and inventory by store-style-size for selected
deliveries to stock balance within the network, between DTC
channels (full price stores and outlet), between business
units (retail, ecommerce, and wholesale)

• Review MD strategies to insure in line with margin targets

Technology/Systems Integration and Data Validation

• Evolve planning and allocation discipline with new or upgraded
tools by participating in requirements gathering, user-
testing and peer training on mechanics as well as best
practices

• Continuously explore more efficient ways of working with
systems


Qualifications:

• Strong planning and forecasting skills

• Decision making capability clearly driven by developing
strategic business initiatives through analytics

• Advanced Excel skills required

• Experienced with Planning, Allocation applications

• Strong organizational skills and excellent communication
skills with ability to influence, present and defend a
business argument both one-on- one and in a group setting

• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

• Collaborative ability to lead and motivate team

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a planning, buying or
merchandising function
