The Designer is responsible for designing seasonal womenswear and ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the process.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design seasonal womenswear product
• Design special make-up unit (SMU) designs for cross functional teams
• Develop tech packs (in Adobe Illustrator) for all designs
• Update tech packs, CADs, Line Sheets, & mill sheets as reviews take place, and designs revised
• Research, interpret, and apply market trends (competitors and non-competitors) appropriate to the brand
• Additional responsibilities, outside of seasonal collections, as assigned

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications; focus on Illustrator
• Highly developed sense of creativity for color, prints and pattern
• Hand drawing, sketching and / or painting skills a plus
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and calendars
• Ability to learn, and flexibility to work on any project big or small
• Ability to interact and collaborate with other designers
• Ability to work cross functionally
• Strong organization and attention to detail skillset

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Technical trade school and/ or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in apparel design

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
• Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
• This is a hybrid role (3 days a week in office) 

SALARY RANGE: $69,700 - $104,500
