Junior Account Executive

RDG Global, a sweater manufacturer company based in NYC, is seeking a Junior Account Executive to join our sales team. The Junior Account Executive will assist and collaborate closely with the Director of Sales. The Junior Account Executive will be responsible for handling private label and branded accounts in department store and specialty stores.

We deliver private label sweaters and sportswear from conception through completion. With robust product development capabilities complemented by a keen understanding of trend, our company produces apparel across its own proprietary labels and under license. We partner with leading retailers, providing them with current trend direction.

Main Responsibilities & Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Writing sales orders and analysis weekly selling reports.
  • Manage accounts and assist Direct of Sales in market appointments.
  • Creating and maintaining buy sheets, WIP reports, and pricing charts.
  • Manage AD sample process, communicating with oversea vendors and client timeline.  
  • Providing client meeting recaps with photo presentations and showroom selections.
  • Sending and following up on development samples to customers for approval.
  • Processing the proper paperwork for extensions, chargebacks both internally and effectively with the client.  
  • Review Production TNA to ensure styles ship on time to customers.
  • Manage communication both internally and with client through development charts.
  • Create and analyze costing  sheets through excel.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major retailers and specialty stores. Assist in growing relationships.
  • Assist in the management and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, pre-production, technical design, and production to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of goods.
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Excel to analyze sales data and provide insights to the team.
  • Manage and prioritize workload to maximize productivity and meet deadlines.
  • Travel to customer locations to meet with buyers, realize any sales potential opportunities and ensure proper in-store execution.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in related position.
  • Must have Private Label experience.
  • Basic knowledge of retail math.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous and organized, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Previous experience in sales or account management is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, OnePLM, VSR.
