PACKAGING DESIGNER

This is an exciting opportunity to for a talented and experienced Packaging Designer to join our team full time, creating innovate packaging solutions for various newborn, infant, toddler apparel, accessories and toys. 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

• Conceptualize, design and execute unique and compelling packaging for our brands. 
• Branding design including identity & logos. 
• Ability to multi-task & work in fast paced environment. 
• Make Digital Mockups in Adobe AI/PS & actual mockups. 
• Strong Command of Visual Design Capabilities, Including Composition, Layout, Hierarchy, Typography, and Color Judgement. 
• Produce Print-Ready Files and Tech Packs. 
• Create customer specific presentations showing displays, end caps, planograms. 
• Ability to identify trends & incorporate them into products. 
• Work Directly with Art Director, Project Managers, and Creative Team 
• Experience working with Licensed brands & ability to create, follow and work with Style Guides. 
• Review and communicate submit (sample & production) comments with the appropriate teams and vendors. 
• Approve digital and physical submits from vendors inclusive of color, substrate quality, and finishes. 
• Work with Product Approval and Sourcing teams to review issues with vendor approvals, production changes, non-conforming packaging, and quality control processes. 
• Perform related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities/Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field 
• Must Have 1-3 Years of Full Time Packaging Design Experience 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop 
• In-depth knowledge of layout, die-lines and overall packaging design 
• Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills with excellent proof-reading skills with attention to detail 
• Work independently, effectively and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
• Understanding of three-dimensional shape and form 
• Portfolio showcasing relevant work (paper box, blister cards, etc.) 
• Illustration skills a plus 

Salary Range $65,000 - $75,000 

Job is on-site in Midtown Manhattan, Mon-Fri 9-5.
